Quit smoking with e cigarattes

It’s official – after a surge of sales over recent years, the E-cigarette has become the most popular ‘quitting aid’ in the UK.

With 1.3 million users (and rising!) the electronic cigarette is now the ‘go-to’ tool for those looking to quit their tobacco and chemical laden cousins. Over 25% of attempts to quit smoking in the UK are now supported with e-cigs, out-performing and chosen over the more conventional patches, sprays, and nicotine gums.

EU wants to ‘ban’ Electronic Cigarettes – here is why they won’t succeed.

EU wants to ban e cigarettes

There has been a lot of talk of late after the EU announced proposals moving to ban and remove the sale of electronic cigarettes and associated products across the UK. With no direct comment from them regarding the leaked document, the firm stance appears to be that electronic cigarettes (known as e-cigs) encourages the use of the more tobacco (and who knows what else) laden variety, ‘normalising’ smoking.

But what would this proposed ban really mean? And how will it affect those across the UK who have converted to the safer ‘smoking’ alternative?
